Plan your base
Where to stay in Dorset
Choose the part of Dorset that fits your plans, then check each retreat's mapped position before booking.
West Dorset and Lyme Regis
Start in the west if Lyme Regis and that section of coast lead your plans. Check the individual retreat location before assuming easy access to a particular beach or coast-path section.
Weymouth, Portland and Purbeck
These are distinct southern-coast bases rather than one compact area. Decide which place you expect to visit most, then compare the routes from each accommodation option.
Inland and eastern Dorset
An inland or Bournemouth-area stay can create a very different break from the Jurassic Coast. Use the map to avoid choosing a property for a coastline it does not conveniently serve.
